OpenPhone is now SOC 2 compliant

SOC 2 compliance

Your data is your most valuable asset and it is our commitment to make sure that it remains safe with us. That’s why we’re happy to announce that OpenPhone is officially SOC 2 compliant!

Read on to learn what this means for you, your business, and your customers.

What is SOC 2 and why is it so important?

SOC 2 (Systems and Organization Controls 2) is a standard first established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants that gives auditors guidance for evaluating the operational effectiveness of a company’s security protocols.

In a nutshell: SOC 2 compliance ensures that we continue to take every precaution for any potential cyber attacks — and that your data stays protected.

What we did to become SOC 2 compliant

Our team underwent an audit by a third-party auditor, Insight Assurance. Insight Assurance’s audit verified we’re securely managing your data.

As part of the review process, we’ve added Vanta to our tech stack as another check in place that monitors the security of your data. Vanta also provides helpful tools such as virtual security training, templates for policies and documents, and other security resources for new and existing employees.

If you’re a current customer, no action is needed on your part for this added protection. Check out this Help Center article if you’re interested in learning more about how we protect your information.
