Why Rachel Kleban joined OpenPhone

Rachel Kleban, VP of People at OpenPhone

I am thrilled to share that I’m joining OpenPhone as VP of People. During the span of my career, I have found that I am happiest when I am part of a growing company, creating an environment where team members can do their best work, build new skills, and have a blast along the way.

So why OpenPhone?

From my first conversations with the team at OpenPhone, I could sense there was something unique and special about the way they were building this company. OpenPhone cares deeply about both its customers and its team members, and works tirelessly to build not only a thriving business, but also a thriving culture. I’m excited for the opportunity to support both of these efforts and do it with the care and thoughtfulness that is clearly core to the company’s values.

Customer

Taking the leap to start and run a business is no small feat! Having spent the last two years running my own small consulting business, I know the challenge of finding, connecting with, and maintaining great relationships with customers and clients.

OpenPhone is doing what it can to make that journey easier for its customers and I am excited to be a part of that.

Culture

Company culture is a reflection of every decision that is made and every action that is taken.

At OpenPhone, it is clear that every step taken is done with intentionality and with care for the team and culture. When culture is built with thoughtfulness, it is built to last.

Values

OpenPhone’s values are clearly defined, well understood, and truly core to how the company operates. While other companies print their values on mugs, OpenPhone is living them. I particularly like the value of “Open,” because it shows me it’s safe to share your ideas, try and fail, and learn along the way.

I am excited to build upon the amazing foundation that OpenPhone has laid and continue to build the best team and culture around.
