Remember what's important with AI-powered call summaries and transcriptions.
Each call summary lists follow-up tasks and action items so you know what needs to get done.

A call recording system records calls made over a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) network or a Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN aka landlines) and converts them into audio files. To record calls, you can download a call recording app or call recording software to your phone or use a business phone system from a provider like OpenPhone.OpenPhone’s call recording feature records calls over its VoIP network.
You can enable automatic call recordings in OpenPhone from the web or desktop app:
1. Go to Phone Numbers in your Workspace settings.
2. Select the phone number where you want all the calls to be recorded (your team's shared number, for example).
3. Scroll down and click the Auto-record calls switch.
There are plenty of reasons to record your business calls. Here are a few of the most important use cases:
Legal compliance and documentation: Recording your calls is useful when customers dispute what was said in a conversation. Having a recording where these terms are discussed and agreed to can help resolve legal challenges that might come up.
Tracking sales and customer success conversations: If your business is growing fast, your sales and customer success teams might get on dozens of calls daily to speak to your customers. Tracking different sales deals and prospect requests can be challenging if you aren’t recording your calls. Business call recording for sales calls makes it easier for sales reps to focus on their customer conversations without having to worry about taking detailed and accurate notes in real time.
Coaching customer support staff: Reviewing call recordings is a useful way to identify strengths and areas of improvement for your customer support team. Whether you play back a call recording or review a call transcription, call reviews help train new support reps and improve performance for existing team members.
Call recordings stay in your inbox as long as you have an OpenPhone account and your team didn’t delete that phone number from your account. Unlike some other VoIP tools, we don’t have a time limit for how long your call recordings are accessible in your workspace.
Nope! Call recording is included in your OpenPhone plan at no extra charge. Keep in mind on-demand call recording is available on all plans, and automatic call recording is available on our Business and Enterprise plans.
